This new charity to compliment STONEY'S LOBSTER RUN was announced and
introduced to the riders and general public by Stoney himself on August
2nd, 2009 during the after party of his 29th Annual Lobster Run 2009.
Having
personally witnessed and dealt with the difficulty a cancer patient
faces in trying to attain a second opinion and how many insurance
companies will simply not pay for what they deem to be an unnecessary
expense. Stoney knew something HAD to be done for others like himself.
For
Stoney it was important that others out there who find themselves newly
diagnosed with cancer have the option to a second opinion, In his
announcement at Cuddy's Tavern, Stoney stated and I quote " this new
charity" THE BANDWAGON" will raise funds for those who need a second
opinion, because when you are diagnosed with cancer, you don't have much
time. This will allow us to cut the @#it and cut a check for those who
need help".
So the work will begin on carrying out Stoney's
wishes. More information will be provided in the very near future.

As
I see it, if Stoney is going to put us to work, then we're going to
have one hell of a good time doing it. So future events promise to have a
whole lot of FUN accompanying them all while we do what we can to
support those in need.
